Miles for St Giles
During week commencing 1st February all the schools in the Greywood MST, will be holding a sponsored event to raise money for this year’s nominated charity – St Giles Hospice.
We are asking all children and families to complete a daily mile for St Giles for each day that week and seek sponsorship to do this. If your child is currently in school, this will be done Monday – Friday as part of the school day. If your child is at home, please try and complete this with them each day. We are also asking you to support all children to do the mile on Saturday and Sunday. Children can walk, jog, run or cycle their mile. It could also be a mixture of methods. This activity will also support your child’s physical as well as mental health at this time and fits in nicely with Children’s Mental Health Week.
Staffordshire Umbrella Network – Online Wellness Wednesdays for Parents/Carers of children with SEND
Starting from Wednesday 20 January 2021 from 10am – 11am we will be hosting a virtual coffee hour via Microsoft teams every Wednesday for parents and carers.
It doesn’t matter if your children are sitting on your knee, running around in the background or sitting quietly by your side.
There’s no agenda, this is just an informal opportunity to chat to other parents, make friends, support each other, share tips, cry, laugh or just sit and listen and be listened to.
If you’d like to join us, please email:
We will then send you a joining link.
If something unexpected comes up (as often does) and you can’t make it on the day, don’t worry, you can always join another session.
