Lemonade Stand
During May half-term Archie, Evie and Bella made a lemonade stand and raised some money for the school by selling lemonade at 20p a cup. They raised around £15 and were very happy with themselves for getting so many sales. Well done, you did really well with your fundraising.
Reception and KS1 – June 2021
Thank you to everyone who helped us trial the RWI e-book library.
Following feedback from staff, parents and pupils we have decided to send home a physical RWI book to support their reading at home. This book will be fully decodable and your child should practice each night to increase their fluency. If your child is a fluent reader they will be bringing home a free reading book each night. Please initial their book to show you have read with them as they can earn raffle tickets and raffle tickets mean prizes!!
Your child will also be bringing home a ‘Read With Me’ book that they have chosen. This book is for your to read to them – perhaps as a bedtime story – but to share the love of words, pictures and stories!
As always, thanks for your support and understanding
Walk The World for Wellness Challenge
The Hart School is raising awareness for Mental Health and supporting Mental Health Awareness week throughout the month of May. The theme for this year is nature. To support the theme, we would like to encourage all students, staff and all members of the community to come together and walk the world to wellness, whilst enjoying the wonderful nature around us.
The Hart School’s aim is to raise money for a local charity called YESS, (Your Emotional Support Service), which is our local Mental Health and Well-being charity who provide telephone emotional wellbeing support sessions for young people and parents.
